What makes you love your career:

"I truly love being a stylist and have enjoyed it since starting my career 12 ½ years ago. I am amazed at how quickly the time has passed and am proud to still work with clients since beginning this journey.

I also enjoy meeting and working with new clients. I work with a variety of people which has enabled me to provide a wide range of hair services.  Working one-on-one with clients has enabled me to have an impact on making them feel great on the outside - which in turn makes them feel great on the inside. 

FInally, I love change and love learning, trying new things. My clients love it, too.

Clients that I have worked with since starting my career have appreciated that I keep up with the trends. I keep their look fresh and current."

You take particular pride in:

"I take pride in my thorough consultation, making sure that each and every client receives my undivided attention.  It does not matter whether I am with a new or existing client, I always begin by listening and offering suggestions.

At all times, I fully explain what and why I do certain things. I take pride in making sure my guests are completely comfortable and confident in me and my work."

Experience you can share:

"My experience that I plan to share is more of a vision for 2010. I started my journey as a cosmetologist at the age of 18, knowing this was what I always wanted to do with my life and future.

I apprenticed for 6 months which was truly where I learned everything I know today and appreciate more each time I challenge myself with a new class or new technique. I received extensive training from Aveda and have traveled to New York City, Chicago, and Baltimore to learn from Wella International as well as Goldwell.

My goal for 2010 is to help raise the level of our profession. We have an amazing gift, which we can share with so many people. We have the power of an artistic craft, a psychological relationship with people, and also the power to heal through touch.

These are gifts I plan to fully embrace and help other stylists embrace upon existing guests and those yet to be."
